Barco has extended its offering of Digital Cinema projectors with a new DLP Cinema Enhanced 4K projector model. The new Barco 4K projector complements the company’s current 2K projector offering, and will become commercially available in early 2011.
Based on the 1.38” DLP Cinema Enhanced 4K chip from Texas Instruments, the new DP4K-32B offers razor-sharp movie images combined with DLP Cinema‘s proven consistent color uniformity, rich contrast and Academy Award winning vibrant, accurate colors, says Barco.
Finally, the new DP4K-32B also features a unique, patented cooling system, creating what its maker calls the coolest 4K engine in the world. This will ensure improved reliability and a significantly increased lifetime compared to competing products, says the company.
