Audio-Technica adds ATDM-1012 digital smartmixer

Audio-Technica has announced the launch of the ATDM-1012 digital smartmixer, for a variety of installed audio applications.

It is suitable for applications in hospitality, corporate and courtrooms to situations where mix-minus operation or audio pickup from specific zones within a space is required.

The 1U, 19-in rackmountable ATDM-1012 is a 14 input/12 bus matrix mixer featuring 10 mic/line inputs with preamps and two pairs of stereo inputs, USB audio I/O, eight balanced outputs and two unbalanced stereo outputs. Ten additional digital inputs can be added either via AT-LINK digital connection or over Dante (with the Dante-enabled ATDM-1012DAN version).

Each input channel is equipped with phase inversion, low cut filter and a four band parametric EQ - these can be assigned to any of the 12 busses with individual volume setting through the routing matrix. Smart mixing capabilities offer four mixing groups and can either be gain sharing or gating mixers. Additionally ten AEC, ten compressors/de-essers and eight feedback suppressors can be freely assigned to any of the input or output channels to ensure exemplary sonic performance.

In larger spaces, two Audio-Technica ES954 hanging microphone arrays can be connected to the ATDM-1012, allowing the mixer to control the horizontal and vertical orientation of the microphone’s four capsules for perfect coverage.

The ATDM-1012 features audio input/output settings made from the front panel, with more refined control available via the Web Remote manager software application. In addition, the mixer can be controlled through IP Remote protocol for additional external flexibility.
