AOPEN launched two Windows-based digital engine models: The DE5500 and the DEX5550 4K media players, designed to manage retail applications with AIoT edge control capabilities.
The DEX5550 features a fanless design that integrates into kiosks and behind displays, capable of managing applications including facial recognition.
The DEX5550 features UHD to support two UHD (4K) @60Hz as well as dual LAN ports for redundancy, integrated firewall and routing functions.
A seventh generation Intel Core is included, available in i3 and 55 as well as 32GB memory capacity and built-in dual HDMI 2.0 output.
The DE5500 supports a DDR4 dual-channel memory with 32GB capacity and features AOPEN’s control unit for device management such as SuperRTC advanced scheduling, resolution and black-screen prevention with its EDID Emulator.
The DE5500 supports two UHD (4K) @60Hz resolution displays, supports HEVC/H.265 and VP9 playback.
Dual Giga Lan is also supported by the DE5500 as well as four USB3.0 and one DB9 RS232.
