INFOBIT AV has launched the iControl KT069, a 6.9-in touchscreen control panel designed for AV control and room automation applications in corporate, education and commercial environments.
The KT069 can operate in two modes, functioning either as a touchscreen central controller or as a dedicated user terminal. This allows integrators to deploy the same hardware in different roles across a project, rather than specifying separate devices for central control and user interaction.
Applications can include control of displays, audio levels, lighting, source selection and other connected room systems. The dual-mode architecture could also prove useful across larger deployments where different spaces require varying levels of local control while retaining a consistent hardware platform.
Based on an ARM Cortex-A55 architecture running at 1.8GHz, the panel uses Android 11 and includes 4GB DDR4 RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. Its 6.9-in capacitive touchscreen offers a 1440 x 720 resolution, providing space for customised control layouts and graphical user interfaces.
The unit is designed for installation into a standard UK wall box, allowing the control interface to be integrated cleanly into meeting rooms, classrooms, lecture theatres and other commercial spaces. This also makes the KT069 suitable for retrofit projects where integrators may want to add touchscreen control without introducing a larger proprietary mounting system.
Connectivity includes a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port, with support for either PoE or direct DC power. Using PoE allows network connectivity and power to be delivered over a single cable, helping simplify cabling in wall-mounted installations.
An RS-232 connection is provided through a three-pin Phoenix connector for integration with compatible third-party and legacy AV equipment. Eight configurable baud rates from 2400 to 115200bps are supported, extending the panel's usefulness in systems incorporating equipment that cannot be controlled directly over IP.
Network protocol support includes TCP/IP, HTTP, UDP and WebSocket, enabling the KT069 to communicate with a range of networked devices and control systems.
Configuration and system management can be accessed through a password-protected web interface. INFOBIT also provides IDE tools allowing integrators to programme the controller and create customised user interfaces around individual room and project requirements.
By combining touchscreen operation, control processing and multiple integration options in a single wall-mounted device, the KT069 is positioned for projects ranging from individual meeting spaces through to wider room-control deployments.
The iControl KT069 is available now through INFOBIT AV's distribution network.
