INFOBIT launches AI-Tracking PTZ camera
INFOBIT has introduced the iCam PT40, an AI-enabled PTZ camera designed for automated presenter tracking in lecture theatres, classrooms and conference spaces. The camera combines a 12x optical zoom PTZ camera with a wide-angle panoramic lens, allowing the system to monitor the full room while capturing close-up presenter shots.

INFOBIT says the dual-lens design is intended to support hands-free operation in medium to large environments without the need for wearable tracking devices or manual camera control.

AI-based human recognition and stage tracking technology enable the iCam PT40 to follow presenters automatically as they move around the space. According to INFOBIT, the system is designed to maintain tracking accuracy even when presenters move through audience areas or stand in front of projection screens. The camera supports simultaneous output via HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0 and LAN, enabling integration into conferencing, lecture capture and live production workflows. Additional integration features include NDI|HX, VISCA over IP and PoE support for simplified deployment across networked AV environments. INFOBIT has also integrated a built-in microphone with an 8 m pickup range and AI-assisted audio positioning.

The iCam PT40 is aimed at hybrid learning, corporate presentation and collaborative communication spaces where automated production and presenter tracking are becoming increasingly important.
