Zytronic has announced new partnership agreements with Timeks in Turkey and Atrek Systems in Malaysia. The deals cover the complete Zytronic projected capacitive touch sensor range.
The touch technology available to the new partners includes Zytronic’s MPCT projected capacitive touch sensors, which can detect up to 40 independent touch points through glass thicknesses of up to 12mm.
Established in 2002, Timeks initially specialized in selling POS hardware, later adding barcode scanners and printers, industrial keyboards, keypads and touch pads. With the rapid expansion of the kiosk market, Timeks is now also in the position to supply the entire range of components within a kiosk, including Zytronic’s touch screens for applications in banking, medical, digital signage, military and transportation sectors.
In addition to Turkey, Timeks serves customers in Azerbaijan and Cyprus. Atrek Systems’ distribution agreement covers Malaysia and South East Asia for Zytronic’s innovative large form factor PCT and MPCT touch sensors suitable for the kiosk and digital signage market.
Atrek is a specialist distributor of IT hardware and kiosk components and has an experienced management team with strong industry contacts in this region.
Ian Crosby, Zytronic’s sales & marketing director, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Timeks and Atrek to our global sales channel network. Turkey and Malaysia both have dynamic, growing economies and our new regional partners have a complementary portfolio of components and systems for the kiosk industry. Our proprietary touch technology is proven in the most demanding self-service and commercial applications and will be an excellent addition to their line cards.â€
