Tateside delivered an AV system that brings comfort and relaxation to a leading wellness centre in the UK.
Soho Farmhouse, a luxurious countryside retreat is located in the UK’s idyllic Cotswolds, this unique venue blends rustic charm with modern comfort and AVL systems that bring an upgrade to the facility’s health and wellbeing areas.
The Farmhouse features cottages, a spa, a farm-to-table restaurant and a range of outdoor activities. Tateside took the lead on the recent integration of the AVL systems across the tennis and padel facilities, as well as the health and wellbeing areas of the resort.
The AV system spans from custom digital signage through to bespoke LED lighting which was designed, planned, and installed by the Tateside team.
The AV system in the Boathouse wellbeing area is designed to provide consistent audio experiences across multiple zones, supported by Bowers and Wilkins AM1 loudspeakers in the indoor and outdoor pool areas.
The sauna and steam room are equipped with Sonance VPXT6R in-ceiling loudspeakers, designed to withstand high temperatures in these environments.
The changing rooms are fitted with Bowers and Wilkins in-ceiling loudspeakers, while all audio zones are powered by a QSYS Core backend, handling audio distribution and control. The system is controlled via Attero Tech Axon C1 wall plates, enabling zoned control over the network. Amplification is provided by Powersoft Unica amps.
Tateside integrated the performance audio and dynamic lighting in the Soho Farmhouse spin studio, delivering ceiling-suspended aluminium profiles above the riders and low-level plinths, as well as lighting effects that have been designed to create an immersive experience for the spin studio guests. The LED lighting is controlled via MADRIX, allowing for effects that can be adjusted to fit the rhythm and energy of the session.
The spin studio also features an audio setup from Martin Audio and two 75-in Samsung screens.
The Wellness Barn area features two studios, a recovery room, and a reception area. Both studios are divisible to open up into one larger space when required, based on class size.
The AV setup here features Martin Audio loudspeakers integrated into the studio joinery. Q-SYS handles the connection between the two rooms, with modes selected through an iPad touchscreen.
Joby Morris, project manager, Tateside, commented: “We’re proud to be a preferred technology partner for Soho House, and Soho Farmhouse is a brilliant site to work on.
“The project was a mix of upgrading AV in several existing spaces, and whole new fit-outs in other areas. The first part of the work was on the health and wellbeing zone, which required a whole new AV system following renovation works. Secondly, the newly installed tennis and padel courts called for the integration of a new audio solution for both the courts and an adjacent outside terrace area.
