For the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince George, Sydney’s Taronga zoo employed the Shure Axient wireless management network to present their show.
As part of their 2014 Australian tour itinerary the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince George, visited Sydney’s Taronga zoo.Their visit included taking in the QBE Free Flight Bird Show presentation which is hosted in an outdoor amphitheatre.
The large presence of media and their digital activities however made for a RF hostile environment. It was feared that the media activity would affect the performance of the radio microphones housed in the bird sanctuary.
Specialist integrators and contractors in sound reinforcement, The P.A. People, and Shure authorized distributor for Australia, Jands, stepped in to ensure nothing went wrong with the presentation on the big day.
The Taronga zoo was able to secure and employ a demo version of the Shure Axient wireless management network specifically for the occasion to combat the presence of media activity. A total of four wireless microphones, two wireless and two lapels, were used for the presentation which was delivered without a hitch.
