Sound Creations opens Immersive Lab in Tashkent
Sound Creations has opened a new hub for spatial audio, projection mapping, and lighting technologies in Tashkent.

The Immersive Lab spans 500 square metres, and is designed for systems integrators, consultants, end-user technical teams, as well as event and rental companies to experience creative technologies at the company’s Tashkent office.

The lab serves as a platform for spatial audio, projection mapping, and stage lighting offerings and is designed as a working environment for experimentation, solution modelling, and real-scale testing of multimedia concepts.

Industry professionals can access training and test project systems prior to implementation, allowing users to develop and validate complex multimedia scenarios across cultural, entertainment, and commercial applications.

The heart of the Immersive Lab’s spatial audio system is an L-Acoustics L-ISA immersive sound system, using a L-ISA Processor II, LA7.16i amplified controllers, LA4X, LS10 network infrastructure, P1 processors, and LC16D.

The loudspeaker configuration includes a frontal array of Syva with Syva Low, KS21 subwoofers, and X8 coaxial loudspeakers forming a surround layer with X8i systems integrated into the ceiling.

The design allows for precise spatial positioning of sound sources, control over depth and movement, as well as the development of complex immersive audio environments.

Sound Creations are also planning to develop this space further by integrating L-SA Ambiance for acoustic environment control, as well as L-Acoustics DJ for real-time conversion of stereo content into object-based immersive audio.

For lighting, Sound Creations used Ayrton and ETC, delivering moving heads, profile fixtures, wash/beam fixtures, LED systems, and ETC Eos control systems for flexible integration with audio and video workflows.

For enhanced accessibility, Mark Stavtsev, sales manager, Ayrton, ETC, and Robert Juliat developed an interactive touch-based control interface which allows users to experiment with lighting parameters without requiring console programming experience.

The Immersive Lab’s visual system is built on 11 Barco I600 4K15 projectors, creating a projection environment for mapping, architectural visuals, and immersive content.

The setup allows for geometry correction, edge blending, surface adaptation, and synchronisation with spatial audio systems.

Sound Creations worked with UAE-based animation studio, Artnovi, to combine Barco projection technology and content production, synchronised with L-SA spatial audio.

The Immersive Lab is now open for demonstrations, project testing, and training. Demonstrations or technical sessions are available by appointment with Sound Creations.

Nehir Özdemir, territory manager, Barco, commented: “It’s inspiring to see such a forward-thinking immersive space come to life. Our projection technology is at the core of this experience, making it possible to deliver powerful visuals and truly immersive storytelling. This lab is also a unique milestone for the region, as there is no comparable immersive space in Uzbekistan or across Central Asia. We’re proud to play a central role in bringing this vision to reality.”
