Saga Kino Oslo reopens with Christie RGB projection
The Saga Kino in Oslo has reopened with a new complement of Christie CP4415-RGB pure laser projectors, outfitted with UHC lenses and IMB-S4 servers.

First opened in 1934, and retaining lots of its original features through restoration, the cinema’s original screen was converted into a multiplex in the 1980s, featuring high projection booths that point down towards small screens in some of the auditoria, creating angles that can be difficult.

The projectors were chosen in part due to Christie’s software capabilities, handling keystoning issues in the cinema. Christie’s VDR, an upcoming technology feature for CineLife+ series projectors, can also be used to provide future-proofing benefits and energy savings in the coming years.

Outfitted in the cinema’s six theatres, operating with Christie Ultra High Contrast (UHC) lenses, working in tandem with the CP4415-RGB pure laser projectors to deliver high black contrast.
