The organiser of Prolight + Sound 2012 has issued its final report following the show, and claims that 40,894 people registered for the pro audio and events element of the exhibition.
That represents an increase of some 20% on last year’s claimed attendance of 33,781 and this increase compares extremely favourably with the overall flat performance of the MusikMesse as a whole. Overall attendance rose from 109,002 to 109,481 year-on-year.
Whilst over half of attendees were from Germany, 23,568 there was still a strong showing from abroad, with the largest international attendance coming from the Netherlands (1,724).
The report also includes satisfied comments from exhibitors such as Riedel Communications, whose positive sentiments are backed by firms such as Martin Audio which has separately claims to have taken orders in excess of £1.9m for its MLA and MLA Compact products during the four day show.
Next year’s Prolight + Sound takes place slightly later in year and will be held from 10-13 April 2013.
