Midwich Group has brought in cable veteran Chris Hobbs to head up its recently established Cables and Connectivity Division.
The UK distributor named Hobbs - who worked at ConnectorCo for nine years before setting up FastFlex - as senior product manager.
Hobbs said: “Cabling is often the least costly aspect of a project, but can also be the most important too, and I think it makes great sense for us to offer this service.”
The division aims to deliver specialist knowledge and necessary tools to make the right cabling choices for a project and allows Midwich to provide cabling as an integrated part of its solutions.
Lee Baker, divisional director said: “We’ve been successful in our accessories business, with items such as brackets, mounts, projector screens and projector mounts becoming very strong sellers. Cabling is something that is required in every project, be that in an office, school, pub, hotel or anywhere else. The experience Chris brings with him is a huge asset to Midwich and we’re delighted that he is leading this new division.”
