Ocean Outdoor debuts new DOOH format with Superman launch
Ocean Outdoor is debuting Showcase, an immersive 3D ‘canvas’ consisting of two curved screens, spanning almost six metres wide and three metres tall.

The Showcase is inspired by Ocean’s 3D DeepScreen technology, first launched in 2021, and is designed to allow agencies and brands to use Ocean Labs’ portfolio of audio, skeletal tracking cameras, mixed reality and DeepScreen Alive interactivity.

The display can be used for flexible, location-based planning in high dwell time public spaces, supporting brand tours or one-off events for retail and leisure locations, transport hubs, fan zones and festivals, or as a hub outside of OOH locations such as cultural spaces and heritage sites.

The Showcase is being debuted at the Four Dials DOOH screen at Westfield Stratford City, in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures UK, where a bespoke 3D asset of the DC Studios Superman trailer will be shown as a four-minute loop featuring movie clips and audience photo opportunities with characters.

Melanie Blood, head of Ocean Labs UK, said: “Attention, creativity and emotion are proven levers in successful, high impact advertising. The Showcase encompasses everything we know about delivering premium brand experiences and public storytelling. It’s next-level DOOH.

“Rich in creative potential, it’s an unmissable format, offering brands an exclusive, spectacular, scalable DeepScreen experience in new and unexpected places, well beyond traditionally fixed OOH environments.”
