Microsoft Teams pushed to the limit as coronavirus causes huge rise in home working
Microsoft Teams users in Europe are reporting major issues accessing the software today due to a huge rise in home working caused by the coronavirus forcing employees to work remotely.

The company itself confirmed that it was investigating “messaging-related functionality problems,” however reports suggest that many users have also encountered problems creating new teams, modifying members, recording meetings, screensharing, and more.

Microsoft Teams passed 20 million daily users back in November 2019.

With the coronavirus outbreak showing no signs of ending, or even slowing down, it seems likely that home working will continue to rise until the summer.

This is the second major outage to hit Microsoft Teams this year. The service also went down after Microsoft forgot to renew a key SSL security certificate last month.
