Leyard Europe LED has enhanced digital signage at the Red Bull Ice Hockey Arena, marking the first European deployment of Leyard’s customised Tfree transparent displays.
The project presented several challenges, particularly the limited load capacity of the arena’s roof. However, Leyard’s innovative technology and tailor-made approach enabled ROPA to deliver an advanced solution that met the venue's specific needs.
The installation consists of four Tfree Pro-F 2.6 displays, with an LED cube positioned above the ice rink. The 4 x 2.5 m cube replaces an older rear projection system and was designed carefully to meet the strict weight requirements of the space.
EC Red Bull Salzburg’s official digital signage partner, Ropa, provided the LED walls and integrated its Lunixo content management software to deliver consistent operation across all screens in the arena, including those in the VIP area and team zones.
The Tfree 2.6mm pixel pitch LED displays are the first to be deployed in Europe, with installation work conducted at night to accommodate the arena’s schedule, with Ropa working closely with Leyard and Novastar technicians to ensure the installation ran smoothly.
