Regional outdoor media Group Plus has joined forces with INFiLED to deliver a digital signage upgrade along Al Khail Road in Dubai.
Featuring INFiLED’s IP65-rated MV Series, the newly installed double-sided LED display replaces a row of static billboards with a digital canvas, elevating roadside advertising on one of the city’s busiest highways.
Carrying nearly 20,000 vehicles per hour, Al Khail Road is a key transportation corridor connecting Dubai’s main business and residential hubs. Despite its strategic importance and heavy daily footfall, the road’s advertising infrastructure had remained largely unchanged for years, dominated by outdated static billboards. Seeking to revitalise the space and capture greater attention from passing traffic, Group Plus sought a contemporary DOOH system capable of meeting the emirate’s environmental demands.
Following a series of in-depth consultations with INFiLED’s local team, including demonstrations of INFiLED LED products across the region – such as at the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix, Dubai Mall Aquarium and the Fairmont Dubai Skyline hotel – GroupPlus selected INFiLED’s MV Series. The installation comprises two 16m × 8m LED screens mounted back to back, creating a dual-sided display that ensures visibility for vehicles travelling in both directions.
With a pixel pitch of 10.4mm, the new display delivers 8,000-nit brightness even under the region’s intense sunlight. To mitigate UV damage and maximise contrast, INFiLED designed custom shaders for the project, further enhancing performance in harsh daylight conditions. The MV Series’ IP65-rated enclosure provides protection against dust and heat, and its slim, lightweight design simplifies ongoing maintenance.
To ensure consistent visibility throughout the day and night, the system integrates a Novastar VX1000 controller and NS060 light sensors, enabling automatic brightness adjustment based on ambient lighting. The content management system also gives GroupPlus full remote access for seamless updates and scheduling, offering new levels of flexibility in campaign management.
Installation took place over several months and involved detailed planning to streamline on-site work. INFiLED pre-assembled LED modules, power supply units and data connections prior to delivery, reducing installation time and minimising disruption. A testing and calibration phase followed, ensuring precise colour reproduction, synchronisation and brightness uniformity across the entire surface of the display.
