Genelec loudspeakers empower Austrian football fans
Linzer Athletik-Sport-Klub (LASK) has relocated to Linz’s Raiffeisen Arena, kitted out with a Genelec smart IP loudspeaker system.

Constructed as a UEFA category four venue, LASK’s new home is one of the largest and most modern in Austria, with more than 80 Genelec smart IP loudspeakers to enhance the fan experience.

Saw IT Consulting, distributor Audio Pro and integration company Contech worked together to deliver the central distribution of all AV equipment, as well as some of the stadium audio.

The arena also did not want to install any amplifiers due to the requirement for extra cabling and additional housing space for racks, meaning that the loudspeakers had to be of a high quality, IP-enabled and active.

The stadium’s fan zone features regional independent traders, with the Genelec loudspeaker system distributed across three hospitality areas and providing background music. The system also handles live acts and DJs.

80 4430 smart IP loudspeakers power the fan zone as well as the business club, restaurant, bakery and VIP boxes which can be hired out privately.

An additional four 4030 loudspeakers bring audio to the arena’s technician room, aiming to provide centralised control over all AV outlets, especially in the hospitality sections of the stadium.

The system is controlled by an Allen & Heath AHM-64 matrix with a Dante V2 card and Allen & Heath system manager software, with Contech supplying a customised user control app via an iPad.
