First Sight Media, a provider of live event streaming and content production, has expanded its operations by acquiring 7020 sq. ft. of new warehouse space, appointed Simon Gilbey as warehouse technician to oversee operations in the new facility, and invested more than £100,000 in new equipment.
The additional warehouse space increases the company’s total footprint to 7,020 sq. ft. from a starting point of just 1200 sq. ft. in 2012.
“The new warehouse space will be used to store and manage our ever-expanding equipment inventory, but we also have plans to develop dedicated streaming and podcast studios within the warehouse, further enhancing our creative service offering,” said First Sight Media MD, Rich Belcher.
As part of its ongoing investment in the latest technology, First Sight Media has purchased over £100K of new equipment, including over 30sqm of LED wall (used for digital signage and camera relay displays) and kit for providing full service content creation at events, in particular, on-site podcast and video interview studios. This is in response to increasing demand and allows for the deployment at concurrent events.
Simon Gilbey joins First Sight Media as AV warehouse technician; he brings extensive expertise in technology-driven operations and stock management across technology, telecoms, and event management sectors. With over two decades of experience, he has managed complex inventory systems, streamlining goods handling, and ensuring operational efficiency in fast-paced environments.
