Epson has announced the appointment of Toshimitsu Tanaka as the managing director for Epson’s regional office, Epson Singapore Pte. Ltd. He will concurrently hold the positions of president and country manager of Epson Philippines Corporation’s (EPC), president director of Epson Thailand and director of Epson Indonesia.
The move comes after out-going managing director of Epson Singapore, Koichi Endo, retired from the position.
Tanaka has been with Epson for over three decades. From 1997 to 2003 he served at Epson’s Southeast Asia regional headquarters in Singapore, overseeing growth for the company notably in the education sector. He has also served as the General Manager at Epson’s global headquarters in Japan. Prior to his latest appointment, he was serving as country manager for Epson Philippines.
Seiko Epson Corporation (SEC) stated that the appointment is in line with its aims to establish a management structure to fulfil its goals as it enters the final year of its SE15 corporate vision and the second half of its SE15 mid-range business plan.
