Colombia's Pontifical Xavierian University enhances learning with Extron AV systems

Colombia
Pontifical Universidad Javeriana, the top-ranked university in Colombia, has completed construction of two 14 story buildings on its Bogotá campus dedicated to teaching science and engineering. Hundreds of instructional spaces were equipped with extensive AV capabilities.

Bogotá-based pro AV design and integration firm Stream NG specified and installed an extensive range of Extron equipment. Included are WallVault and PoleVault digital classroom systems, DTP Systems transmitters, receivers, and switchers, ShareLink Pro presentation systems, audio amplifiers, audio DSP processors, speakers, Cable Cubby cable access enclosures, TouchLink Pro touchpanels, NBP and eBUS button panels, MediaLink Plus controllers, IP Link Pro xi control processors, and HDMI cables, to name a few.

AV systems in the Science Building (below) and the Engineering Building (bottom) are optimised for the size and function of each room. All designs employ DTP signal extension, which accommodates both the short and long cable runs encountered when routing AV signals throughout these high-rise buildings.

NBP Network Button Panels, MediaLink Plus controllers, and TouchLink Pro touchpanels provide intuitive user interfaces to the AV systems in the various educational spaces. To keep all AV systems running smoothly and to provide user assistance, a central help desk can remotely monitor and control all AV systems through GlobalViewer Enterprise.
