Biamp is ramping up its presence in the unified communications (UC) marketplace with two new hires.
While Rob Houston takes on the role of product manager of UC products, Sally Blank will join Biamp as sales development director with a specific focus on the unified communication and collaboration (UC&C) sector.
Blank joins Biamp from Vaddio where she was the international channel manager for Vaddio’s specialty cameras, camera control solutions, and suite of UC&C products for AV, videoconference, and broadcast installations. She will report to Ron Camden, vice president of global sales, who welcomed her to the company’s sales team.
“[Blank] brings a wealth of experience in global sales channel management and an impressive background in B2B sales of professional audio and video equipment across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America,†Camden said. “Her recent success in fostering partnerships within the area of unified communication and collaboration will be especially valuable to Biamp as we continue to expand into the space.â€
Blank said: “The convergence of the AV and IT industries has created new avenues for innovation, making this an exciting time to join Biamp.â€
Houston will report to Shell Haffner, director of product management, and will be responsible for the strategy, development, and promotion of the company’s UC solutions.
“Rob’s experience in IT marketing, international promotion, and product innovation will be instrumental to our continued focus in the UC space,†said Haffner.
Houston has more than 15 years of experience spanning public relations and IT product marketing and most recently served as the manager of global product marketing for the entry product segment at the Xerox Corporation.
