If you’ve ever seen a K-array loudspeaker, you’ll know that they are unique.
For over 30 years K-array has been an independent industry leader, continuing to push the boundaries of what can be achieved with sophisticated audio across its ecosystem of innovative brands.
K-array don’t necessarily see themselves as different; for them, it is simply how audio technology should be. “People continue to use bulky plastic loudspeakers when the technology exists for much more elegant and discreet solutions,” says Francesco Maffei, Sales Director at K-array.
Custom designed and manufactured in Italy
Designed and engineered in Italy, K-array’s approach is based on a combination of technology, and an unrivalled approach to design. Their loudspeakers are small, but the sheer amount of sound these devices emit is startling.
Many of the designs are ground-breaking - indeed, one model is only a little larger than your thumb, whilst column loudspeakers no larger than a chocolate bar can fill large rooms with sound. You never forget your first K-array demo.
The engine of any loudspeaker is the drivers used. K-array drivers are custom designed and manufactured, delivering higher quality and more power than off-the-shelf units. Their cabinets are made of aluminium – not wood or plastic. These cabinets work as a heat sink allowing you to power the drivers harder than a conventional loudspeaker.
Higher frequencies deliver intelligibility
Many sound systems use a single cabinet for the entire frequency range, which can be augmented with a sub bass if needed. K-array employs the principle that your brain detects the direction of audio from relatively higher frequencies.
K-array uses smaller, higher frequency loudspeakers to deliver the intelligibility and directionality, supported by bass loudspeakers that deliver higher frequencies than a conventional sub bass cabinet - sometimes up into the mid-range of audio.

The result is a harder working bass loudspeaker that can be placed almost anywhere, leaving you with a significantly smaller principal loudspeaker.
Versatile solutions for a range of applications
K-array’s smaller and lighter devices offer enormous flexibility. Sound design no longer needs to be a compromise with fitting loudspeakers around potential obstacles - K-array offers the ability to position the loudspeaker exactly where needed for optimal results.
K-array also offers the ability to switch the impedance of their loudspeakers to daisy-chain multiple units together from one amplifier channel. Furthermore, they offer a range of complementary amplifiers with full DSP on board, and they are the first manufacturer to adopt ‘Dante ready’, giving customers the choice of how many Dante channels they need.
The brand’s innovations go even further than this. Their snake-like ‘Anakonda’ loudspeaker, which has a remarkable range of use cases, makes you wonder why this hasn’t been done before. More recently they launched RAIL by KSCAPE, an elegant combination of professional lighting and sound in a simple 1.2-metre bar. Furthermore, their KGEAR brand offers simplicity through its flexible professional audio products, suitable for everyday applications across both the live sound and AV markets.
K-array products are ideal for applications ranging from retail to hospitality and corporate, hotels and resorts, museums and more. The complete ecosystem of solutions provided by the K-array, KSCAPE and KGEAR brands will have you questioning the boxy approach to sound.
