Belgian public broadcaster Vlamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie has overhauled its Brussels studios with DHD-based audio production consoles.
Following an initial DHD deployment in 2003, the studio network now runs its entire radio environment on DHD mixers, integrated into VRT’s central Brussels headquarters and five regional studios as well as the network’s video edit suites and mobile production vehicles.
A 12-fader RX2 setup was used, complemented by 52-1156 TX 10.1-in screen multitouch mixers for monitoring and talkback on the assisting workplaces.
The DHD systems support widely used AoIP protocols, a benefit for the studio which has audio networking connectivity largely based on AoIP.
