BBC Sport is upgrading its Media City studio in Salford with ROE Visual’s Ruby RB1.5 LED walls and Black Marble BM2 LED flooring, creating a permanent XR environment designed to meet the demands of modern sports broadcasting.
The compact studio setup combines fine-pitch LED with a customized BM2 floor finish, delivering an immersive visual environment without compromising camera performance.
Following successful collaborations on UEFA Euro 2024, the investment strengthens the long-term partnership between BBC Sport, AE Live, Megapixel, and ROE Visual. The new installation will support major BBC Sport programming, including Match of the Day, bringing greater flexibility, visual impact, and future-ready capabilities to the studio.
