The Audio Engineering Society will host its first dedicated event in Poland when it stages its 138th Convention this week.
The event, from May 7 to 10 is hosting a technical programme that covers the work of more than 100 researchers, and includes topics such as 22.2 multichannel and accelerometer-based motional feedback, at the Sofitel Victoria Hotel in Warsaw.
Workshops cover subjects such as automotive sound, music production for film, and live sound. Tutorials provide an overview of audio topics for a variety of abilities and a number of special events will feature a range of speakers from the industry.
Paper sessions tackle complex issues such as subjective loudness of impending 22.2 multichannel-format programs, and the use of convolutional neural networks for spatial audio classification.
Technical Tours are also available, including visits to the Teatr Wielki Polish National Opera House; a tour of Polish National Public Radio; film sound post production facility, Dreamsound; and the World Hearing Center.
