UK integrator Pure AV has secured the £2M AV project for Ulster University’s Greater Belfast campus development.
The project will bring 75,000m2 of transformative learning space to the city centre, giving 15,000 staff and students access to new work, learning, research, and innovation facilities.
This 2nd phase of the development features two expansive multi-level buildings situated opposite the existing campus. Modern and accessible, the facilities include 230 new flexible spaces ranging from four to six-person meeting rooms, various teaching and social areas to large 250 and 350-seat lecture theatres.
The University’s Learning and Teaching strategy embraces the shift from didactic to more flexible, social and collaborative learning. The AV systems are designed with endpoint technology to support blended learning and plenty of desk space for creative and collaborative working. Full integration with Extron GVE and consistent user interface design will ensure ease of use and enable coordinated management of the installed system.
Construction has continued throughout the pandemic, and despite the ongoing challenges of Covid-19 and Brexit, Pure AV expects to commence on-site works in early March.
