LMG adds to AV division to support growth plans

Building group LMG, has appointed three new people to its AV division. This is a direct result of growing demand from property developers and main contractors to incorporate AV within LMG’s design and build smart building offerings.

Enterprise and hospitality customers have also been requesting to adopt maintenance contracts that offer multi-technology support. Andy Walsh joins as AV services director, Szymon Dworski (pictured above) as AV design manager and Stephen Nichols as AV project manager.

“At LMG, we’re launching our next phase of growth as technological convergence and market demand for smart buildings continues to increase in a post-pandemic world,” comments Ieuan Rowe, MD at LMG. “Walsh, Dworski and Nichols will be pivotal to this growth as they build on our existing AV experience and capabilities – bolstering our project delivery capability and expanding the scope of our post-installation maintenance and support services. This is a key investment from us as a company and represents our confidence in the UK market for fully-integrated smart buildings.”

Walsh (pictured below) brings over 20 years’ experience in the AV and building technologies industries to his new role, having held senior positions within deployment, operations and service support disciplines. Prior to joining LMG, Walsh worked for proAV, Invensys (Schneider Electric Global) and Cerberus (Siemens). At LMG, Walsh will be responsible for delivering process and strategy across the business to ensure industry measures and accreditations are met.

Dworski joins LMG with over 15 years’ experience in full AV systems design for media, leisure, sport and corporate projects. Before joining LMG, Dworski worked for companies such as Arup, Vanguardia and AVMI, where he was responsible for the audio, video and control systems for spaces such as press conference rooms and auditoriums, media control rooms, boardrooms and meeting rooms. At LMG, Dworski will oversee all aspects of AV design – from consultation to project completion – ensuring that LMG remains ahead of the technology curve.

Nichols has proAV experience spanning over 20 years, prior to LMG, Nichols held positions at Reflex, Harman and Bloomberg. As AV project manager at LMG, Nichols will oversee all aspects of project deployment, from immobilisation through to transition to service support.

Mike Hook, executive director at LMG adds: “The convergence of IP technologies has seen AV become an integral component of integrated smart building solutions. The global pandemic has also accelerated the demand for integrated AV/IT solutions – with the massive growth in remote and flexible working as well as a greater need for touchless features when people are in the office. It’s a no brainer that there will be more of a focus on the individual user experience, and an excellent AV capability is critical to achieving this goal.”
