Funktion-One revealed its latest addition to the Vero series, the Vero FX audio system at Prolight + Sound 2019.
The Vero VX system is comprised of VX90 full-range vertical array elements, a three-way vertical array element with four Funktion-One Neodymium drivers in a horizontally symmetric configuration. The VX90 also includes two reflex loaded 12-in mid bass drivers, an Axhead loaded 8-in cone midrange driver and a 1-in compression driver on a proprietary isophase diffraction waveguide.
The VX90 is 1120mm wide and 340mm high, with a usual bandwidth of 50Hz to 20kHz and horizontal dispersion of 90 degrees.
The Vero VX system also comprises of V124 or V221 bass enclosures, amp racks, fly bars, transport dollies, ground stack hardware cabling and projection predictive software.
The Vero FX system uses the Lambda rigging system, enabling cabinets to be transported and flown as straight columns, tensioned into pre-set angles once the array is suspended.
The Lambda system allows for a rotation axis for alignment at vertical angles between 0-12.5 degrees.
Eight cabinets can be powered from a single amplifier, with a 32-box system and additional subwoofers able to be powered by six amplifiers.
