A trade-in scheme has been launched by NEC Display Solutions who will be paying cash for old projectors of any model or make.
The ReTrade programme aims to reduce the cost for prospective customers of buying a new projector and to help preserve the environment. It is expected that 85% of the returned units will be refurbished for future reuse while others will be recycled to reduce waste and unnecessary resource consumption.
“Our unique programme is the first in the industry that includes refurbishment and reuse of projectors of all models and brands,†said Klaus Auerboeck of NEC Display Solutions Europe.
“It’s a win-win situation for us all. We give projectors a second life and our customers save money by trading-in used products. Together we preserve resources and create a sustainable environment.â€
The programme is already available to customers in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands and the UK and will soon be extended to other countries.
