Planar adds 82” to digital signage portfolio

Planar has added the d82L, an 82” LCD display to its digital signage line-up aimed at airports, shopping centres and public spaces.
The d82L has a slim profile of 3.9”. An AccessConsole provides lockable, flip-panel access to electronics directly above the screen. An integrated MediaMount offers secure storage for media players and other hardware inside the AccessConsole. It has built-in network and RS-232 controls.
Redundant power is designed to ensure uninterrupted operation if one supply fails. The distributed electronics architecture reduces potential heat-related wear on the commercial-grade LCD panel.
