Ahead of InfoComm, Sony has introduced five new projectors, including a 4K UST laser model.
The new launches also include a 4K/3D projector for large venues, and a WUXGA laser projector.
The VPL-GTZ1 is a 4K ultra short throw (UST) laser projector offering 2,000 lumens of brightness. It is capable of throwing images up to approximately 160in diagonal. It also offers 20,000 hours of operation.
Sony's newest laser projector is the VPL-FHZ700L, which is suitable for large venues and applications in the corporate, education and museum markets. It offers WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) and 20,000 hours of operation
The SRX-T423 model is a 4K/3D projector designed for large-venue commercial applications such as the fields of entertainment, auditorium/lecture hall presentations & simulation. It offers brightness of 23,000 centre lumens, and up to 30,000 in high brightness mode, and 40,000 lumens of 3D brightness in dual projection mode.
Also new from Sony are the VPL-CH355 and VPL-CH375 (new C-Series) models for education and SMB markets. They both offer WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200)and include HDBaseT boards and Optional Wireless for wider connectivity capabilities.
The new VPL-FHZ700L laser projector will be available in September and the new C-Series in November.
The new VPL-GTZ1 projector is planned to be available in Europe later this year, with further information on launch timing in the summer.
The SRX-T423 projector is scheduled for availability in September.
