Lumens Digital Optics has launched the VC-TR61N, an NDI HX3-enabled 4K PTZ camera with extended range motion tracking.
Featuring a 30x zoom, the device can track a subject over distances in excess of 18 metres, making the VC-TR61N suitable to automated production in larger venues and event spaces.
The inclusion of NDI facilitates remote control, powering and streaming and access to collaborative production workflows.
By extending this distance, Lumens enables motion tracking in venues such as national venues, international conference centres and large houses of worship. VC-TR61N uses an enhanced AI processing system and a dual camera design to provide longer distance subject identification, target tracking and smooth motion.
The inclusion of NDI HX3 reflects the camera’s anticipated role in live events. Running on 1Gbe networks, this camera can be installed onto collaborative NDI networks, with producers enjoying full remote control using Lumens NDI control panels or third-party software.
With a main robotic head paired with a secondary panoramic lens, VC-TR61N features a dual-camera design capable of outputting two video streams. These can be ingested independently into a media processor, IP switcher, or production software system, delivering multi-angle feeds from a single camera. Alternatively, the two video feeds can be composited in-camera as a Picture-in-Picture video. VC-TR61N supports video output via SDI, HDMI, and USB ports.
Powered by an AC adapter or a PoE-capable network, and ready for installation either upright or inverted, VC-TR61N gives integrators considerable versatility. Supporting multiple streaming formats, quad video outputs and a variety of control protocols, the camera has flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of production crews.
