Extron launches two 8K HDMI distribution amplifiers

Extron has expanded its 8K distribution amplifier range, launching the DA2 HD 8K AE and DA2 HD 8K AI distribution amplifiers.

The DA2 HD 8K AE is a two-output 8K HDMI distribution amplifier that extracts two-channel LPCM audio from the HDMI input signal, converting it to analogue audio.  The amplifier’s analogue output is configurable for stereo or dual-mono signals.

The DA2 HD 8K AI is a two-output 8K HDMI distribution amplifier, accepting separate two-channel analogue audio and converting it to 16-bit LPCM audio at 48 kHz for embedding onto the HDMI output signal.

Both models are HDCP 2.3-compliant products and include features and capabilities that streamline integration and operation, featuring Extron EDID Minder Plus to support additional memory blocks for displays that convey features via both EDID and DisplayID for proper management of the extended EDID information required to display and distribute 5K and 21:9 aspect ratio content.
