Crestron updates DM presentation systems

Crestron will ship DMPS3-4K-350-C and DMPS3-4K-250-C 3-Series 4K60 DigitalMedia presentation systems in EMEA at the end of December.

The models add a built-in Crestron AirMedia wireless presentation gateway, H.264 video receiver, content LAN, higher-powered amplifier, and onscreen display to features that includes 4K60 video, support for HDCP 2.2, and a Control Subnet. 

DMPS3-4K-350-C and 250-C use DigitalMedia technology and an IP-based 3-Series Control System and contain 4K60 multimedia switcher with built-in scaling, mic mixer, and audio DSP in a rack-mountable unit. DMPS3-4K Series offers HD video switching and display, including HDCP 2.2 protected content. Setup and touch screen control possible via a web-based configuration tool, with no programming required. 

AirMedia wireless presentation is now built into the DMPS3-4K-350-C and 250-C. and the new AirMedia has faster video, can play encrypted video, lower bandwidth, iOS and Android mirroring, and network access control.

The DMPS3-4K-350-C and 250-C add a third Ethernet port for wireless presentation or H.264 streaming video. It also has Control Subnet, which establishes a VLAN for the Crestron devices, separate from the LAN, for faster DM system updates and troubleshooting. 

Both products have a new higher-powered 50-watt integrated amplifier, enabling them to directly drive a pair of stereo speakers (25 Watts RMS per channel @ 8 Ohms, 4 Ohms tolerant), or a group of distributed ceiling speakers (50 Watts RMS @ 70 or 100 Volts). 

The DMPS3-4K-350-C and 250-C also add onscreen display capability, making it possible to create custom branded welcome screens.
