Amptown System Company (ASC) has introduced the Mogul, an intelligent sliding device controlled by Ethernet or GPIO for switching from 2D to 3D projection.
The Mogul is designed to make manual work easier in cinemas and improve results by automatically sliding 3D units made by RealD in front of digital projectors in the projection room at precisely the right moment.
It is controlled using the device manager tool of the D cinema server and guarantees DCI-compliant playback of content.
In combination with RealD XL, XLW, and Z-Screen, the Mogul can be used with all DLP Cinema projectors and monitored via an integrated web server.
The device is supplied ready assembled and complies with applicable EU safety standards. It is designed to be robust and in Germany the device comes with a five-year exchange warranty from Amptown.
