A multitouch, curved LED wall and a boardroom with curved 8K LED were just two of the AV spectaculars on show as Zoom opened its London Experience Centre.
The first facility of its kind for Zoom, the space is a flagship opening for the conferencing company and spans more than 1,670m.
Lens wall, a central feature of the space, is a 7.6m-long ambient fabric wall with a curved LED screen offering multi-touch interactivity and 360-degreee visuals.
Visitors are greeted with a personalised welcome on a digital screen at the entrance. Once inside they can check out the boardroom of the future that includes a floor-to-ceiling curved 8K LED and the latest camera and audio systems with conferencing systems powered by Zoom.
The Zoom Experience Centre sits alongside the Zoom Engagement Hub that was opened in August.
Commenting on the company’s commitment to the UK market, Frederik Maris, head of EMEA at Zoom, said: “The UK continues to be Zoom’s door to EMEA, and is one of our largest key markets outside the US.
“Our latest investment in the region underlines Zoom’s long-term commitment to the UK, where we have already seen the number of full-time employees nearly double in the last three years. The new Zoom Experience Centre is a testament to our cutting-edge technology, and the creativity that Zoom can enable, and raises the bar for our international footprint outside of the United States.”
Zoom has put sustainability at the heart of its design strategy for the Experience Centre which has Gold LEED certification.
The company also partnered with the Art for Impact (AFI) initiative, which matches organisations with artists to benefit their local community non-profit groups. In collaboration with Nicaraguan women's collective Las Tejedoras, NGO Casa Congo, and global design firm Unispace, Zoom’s Experience Centre contains a custom-designed tapestry made from 3,500 plastic bags, with a message of inspiring individual and corporate action in the areas of environmental conservation and social impact.
