White Light and Vanti certify as eco-conscious B Corporations
White Light and Vanti have achieved B Corporation certification after a thorough assessment, joining the socially and environmentally conscious group of 7000 companies worldwide.

B Corporation (B Corp), is a non-profit network that aims to transform the global economy to benefit people, communities and the planet, with the certification process evaluating the sustainability practices of businesses.

Founded by B Lab in 2006, certified B Corporations meet B Lab’s standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. A B impact score of 80 qualifies for certification, with White Light receiving a B impact score of 88.8. The media score for ordinary businesses completing this assessment is estimated by B Lab to be 50.9.

The certification follows White Light gaining ISO14001 accreditation, the international standard for environmental management systems.

Chris Turner, executive director, B Lab UK, commented: “We are delighted to welcome White Light to the B Corp community. This is a movement of companies who are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good. We know that WL is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.”

Vanti has become the first systems integrator to achieve accreditation, also undertaking an assessment process to demonstrate social and environmental performance. The company made a legal commitment by changing its corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders and to make performance transparent by publicly sharing data about its work.

The news follows a successful period of growth for Vanti, as the company has doubled the size of its team to 50 since 2019. Vanti also has ambitious growth plans in place, with an open investment round underway and a recruitment drive to add additional members of staff to its team.

Vanti also plans to move to a larger headquarters later in 2023.

Mike Brooman, CEO, Vanti, said: "At Vanti we know the impact our work has on people and the environment and one of our key goals as a business is to not only improve the experiences people have in the built environment but also encourage best practice within the construction and property industries, setting an example for others to follow.

"Gaining this certification shows our commitment to providing the best service to our clients and the best place to work for our team. As we continue to grow and take on new challenges it's important to us that we are open and transparent about who we are as a business and the actions we are taking to continuously improve.
