Tekvox has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering interoperable HDBaseT products by joining the HDBaseT Alliance as an adopter-level member.
The HDBaseT Alliance is a cross-industry alliance founded by LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Valens to promote and standardise HDBaseT technology for whole-home distribution of uncompressed Ultra-HD multimedia content.
The cornerstone of HDBaseT technology is 5Play, a feature set that converges uncompressed full HD digital video, audio, 100BaseT Ethernet, power over cable and various control signals through a single LAN cable.
Jim Reinhart, CEO of Tekvox said: "We view standardisation of popular AV and communications protocols and power on a single cable as an accelerator of deployment of advanced cost effective AV and control systems. Customers demand and expect interoperable solutions, and Tekvox will do its part to deliver them."
