Exhibitors release more details of new product launches as PLASA Events counts down to PLASA Focus: Leeds 2013.

In just two weeks' time the Royal Armouries will host the premier event in the North for the live entertainment and installation industry. As exhibitors prepare to travel to Leeds they continue to release more details of what visitors can expect to see on Tuesday 30 April and Wednesday 1 May.

Martin Audio will hold the UK launch of their latest multi-cellular array product, the MLA Mini. The ultra-compact, lightweight loudspeaker system has flexibility and innovation at the core of its design. A system can be flown, ground-stacked or pole mounted; used for small to medium theatre and live music venues or corporate AV events; deployed in temporary or fixed installation environments and even support MLA Compact systems as a side-fill.

Stage Electrics will be exhibiting the recently released Halo line array compact system from EM Acoustics alongside their mini EMS51 speakers with an i8 sub. The new Roland M200i audio console and DiGiCo's SD9 with UB MADI audio interface will also be live and available for demonstration throughout the event.

Midas will unveil their new Generation 2.1 software. Developed for its entire range of digital consoles, the new software adds a host of new features and functionality and comes free for all Midas console owners. Also on show will be an array of new FX plug-ins including a dual-channel Klark Teknik DN60 Real Time Analyser, a Klark Teknik tape saturation effect, sub-harmonic generator, multi-channel input phase adjustment insert, a fifth input compressor option, ducker mode for noise gates, plus a new "transient accent" gate option.

New to the market is the Furman CN-3600 SE SmartSequencer from pro-audio distributor Fuzion Ltd UK. SmartSequencing technology allows large and complex professional AV systems to be safely powered on and off at the touch of a button or turn of a key. Also on the Fuzion stand will be the Neutrino A Series and the UNO Series of digital audio processors from Xilica Audio Design.

d&b audiotechnik will showcase their latest software, the new ArrayCalc Version 7, which offers the ability to perform acoustic simulations quickly, easily and intuitively. Users can now choose from a selection of d&b point source loudspeakers, most notably the xS-Series from the White range as well as Black range Q and E-Series loudspeakers. The sophisticated additional algorithms of Version 7 address the requirements of a d&b style simulation and planning tool for a complete installation project as well as corporate and AV rental markets. It also offers a new printout section for any of these options and simplifies the process of creating remote control workspaces via an export function into the d&b R1 remote control software. There will be a working display area on the d&b audiotechnik stand, providing a hands-on opportunity to learn more about this latest software advance.

LMC Audio Systems Ltd will launch the optima line-array system from new brand Inspired Audio. Inspired Audio has developed a premium loudspeaker system which is compact and lightweight and, as Inspired Audio's Design Director Chris Scott comments, "As close to plug and play as the laws of physics allow." The launch of the Inspired Audio range of products, including the Optima line-array systems, will take place at Stand N-C28 with a special introduction and demonstration session taking place at 5.30pm on Tuesday 30 April in the News Room at the Royal Armouries. Invitations will be available from the LMC Audio Systems stand throughout the day.

Electro-Voice will present the new ZLX loudspeaker series; a new generation of mobile loudspeakers in polypropylene cabinets. The new series comprises of two powered models, ZLX-12P and ZLX-15P, and their passive counterparts, ZLX-12 and ZLX-15. They are equipped in each case with 12" and 15" woofers, respectively, a 1.5" titanium HF driver and, in the case of the powered models, a 1000 W (peak) Class-D power amplifier - compromise-free, high-quality components that guarantee clear and powerful performance. The patented "split baffle" design leads, furthermore, to a clear improvement in the acoustic dispersion. In addition to a precise sonic image in music applications, the primary advantage of this is enhanced intelligibility of the spoken word.

White Light will have two new products debuting on their stand; the CORE Lighting ColourPoint and the James Thomas Engineering JT30 truss system. The CORE Lighting ColourPoint, the latest innovation from CORE Lighting, is a new lightweight, low-cost LED uplighter.
