Dan Dugan releases mixing controller

San Francisco based Dan Dugan Sound Design released its E-1 Automatic Mixing Controller to replace its economy model, Model E. The E-1 provides eight channels of signal processing and patches into the input insert points of an audio mixing console.

The product detects which microphones are being used and makes transparent cross-fades, designed to allow the operator to focus on balance and sound quality.

In addition to analogue I/O, the E-1 has two pairs of ADAT connectors, one pair for digital I/O and one pair for linking. The E-1 can be linked with the Models D-2, D-3, and E. A back panel switch changes the input from analogue (TRS insert connectors) to digital (Lightpipe). Both analogue and digital outputs are always active simultaneously.
