PTZOptics exits InfoComm 2021
PTZOptics has announced it has withdrawn from the InfoComm 2021 show in Orlando, USA, scheduled to take part 27-29 Oct, due to Covid concerns.

In a statement released to the press;

"PTZOptics and HuddlecamHD will not exhibit in person at InfoComm 2021 in Orlando. We wanted to share this decision now so that all our friends in the industry can factor it into their plans.

"This was not an easy decision. This year, we’ve released a pair of powerful PTZ camera control joysticks, the SuperJoy and the PT-Joy-G4, that offer AV professionals sophisticated camera control over IP networks. We were really looking forward to putting this gear into people’s hands and letting them test it live. We’ve also brought network capabilities to more of our cameras, rolling out NDI|HX across both our product lines. We were eager to talk with dealers and end users about how to leverage the network for camera management, video production, and content distribution.

"As the COVID pandemic re-escalates, however, we have had to reevaluate the risks associated with a large, indoor gathering. Among our partners, customers, and friends in the industry, many are currently unable to travel as a matter of company policy or are uncomfortable due to health risks. We also could not in good conscience require a large group of staff to travel to a high-risk zone. As much as we were looking forward to the show, health and safety come first.

"This is the AV industry. We know how to connect from a distance—and we also know the importance of meeting face to face. We hope to participate in InfoComm 2021 virtually if the option becomes available, and we’ll be seeing you at virtual events and livestreams throughout the fall. And when—not if—we do gather again in person, we will have so much to show you."
