Nortek Security & Control (NSC) has made two new executive appointments, appointing Christopher Larocca as CEO and Darren Learmonth as chief technology officer (CTO).
Larocca, joining Nortek as CEO, will be responsible for leading the company across its security, control, access and digital health business units, aiming to improve Nortek’s portfolio strategy including its AI deep-learning video analytics software and range of brands.
Larocca formerly worked as CEO at Luminance Brands and has also held CEO and executive management positions at Dover Corporation, General Electric and Emcore Corporation.
Learmonth joins NSC with more than 25 years of experience in defining and bringing products to market, holding responsibility for engineering and product line management departments.
The new role will also require Learmonth to execute NSC’s IoT, ‘solutions-based’ strategies including a list of product launches set for 2020.
Learmonth worked as a CTO at Assa Abloy, holding other CTO and senior vice president positions at HID Global and Thales E-Security.
