Nigel Steljes, founder of UK AV distributor Steljes, which went bust in 2016, has announced the launch of a new distribution company called Ascentae Limited.
Created to offer technology to the everyday challenges faced in business and
education, Ascentae will provide collaborative work spaces via strategic vendor relationships and a network of value added partners.
Ascentae will be officially distributing Nureva, SMS & Evoko products into the UK market from 1st March 2017 and plan to enhance the product offering through additional vendor signings.
Joining Nigel will be Jon Knight, following his recent resignation from the Board of Directors at AV integrator, Smarter Interactive.
As commercial director, Jon will be responsible for driving awareness and growth of the new company in the market.
Talking about the new venture, Nigel Steljes said: "I established Avocor in June 2016 as a vendor brand with a clear remit to create and develop market leading interactive technologies however, due to my long-standing relationships with Nureva and SMS, I made the decision in the short term that Avocor would carry these brands in their portfolio, acting as a hybrid distributor. My intention was also to build a specialist distribution company, separate from Avocor to represent these brands in the UK."
