NEC Display Solutions has held it sixth annual Showcase event in London, and has seen a 35 increase on attendance from last year, with more than 1,500 visitors attending the Velodrome in London's Olympic Park.
This was the first time the event has been held over two days. The Showcase ran in parallel with the inaugural London Digital Signage Week.
Technology on display included the Oculus Rift and a 36-screen curved videowall, created by PSCo and NEC. The event saw technology from a range of partners split into specific zones by sector: media, unified comms, retail, transport etc.
Simon Jackson, VP NEC Display Solutions said: "The decision to extend to two days was certainly the right one when we consider the increase in attendees, it was always busy but not overcrowded. Other events running in parallel for the inaugural London Digital Signage Week were also well attended."
The Velodrome in London’s Olympic park saw members of the AV industry don various outfits made of lycra as part of the Track Bike Experience.
Simon Jackson added, "Of course the venue was a big hit, though we will try and find somewhere next year where I don't have to put my cycling shorts on!"
