Middle Atlantic Products is the latest manufacturer to be unveiled as a voting member of UL's Standard Technical Panel (STP) for introducing UL 2416.
Middle Atlantic will assist in developing future standards for equipment deployed in cabinets, enclosures and rack systems as part of the panel. UL 2416 will be the first dedicated standard to address the safety of cabinets, racks, and enclosures intended to power, protect, heat, cool, or otherwise support AV, IT, telecommunications, and similar equipment in AV industry.
Within UL STP 2416, the standards body will develop standards to assess, measure, and validate the safety and performance of infrastructure products – currently evaluated using solely the UL 1678 standard.
