Massteknik acquires Norway
Massteknik AB, fully owned subsidiary to the Media Tec Group has acquired Mediateknikk A/S and its complete business. Massteknik has a market leading position in Scandinavia and with the acquisition of Mediateknikk, Massteknik strengthens its position further.

Mediateknikk A/S was founded in 2001 and quickly became the market leader in Norway, within the audiovisual (AV) rental industry. The head office is located in Oslo and the annual turnover for 2007 is estimated to 36 MSEK. MD is Stein Strandskogen who will stay on as the MD for the company in Norway.

“With the acquisition of Mediateknikk, we get access to a broader market segment in Norway and a strong presence in Oslo. Massteknik together with the new Norwegian company becomes the leading company in Scandinavia and one of the largest players within AV- solutions in Europe” says Kenneth Paterson, MD for the MediaTec Group.

“Mediateknikk have had a very positive development since the start in 2001. To be able to secure further development and enhance our offer, the owners have decided to form a larger unit together with Massteknik," says Stein Strandskogen, MD at Mediateknikk. Massteknik was founded 1981 and is today the leading company in Scandinavia within event production, with large screen solutions for indoor and outdoor use. The Massteknik group has 86 employees and the turnover for 2006 was 200 MSEK. The head office is located in Kungälv, north of Gothenburg. Other offices are located in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Hampshire and Melbourne.

Massteknik has a long history in the Norweigian market with clients such as: The Norwegian Ski Association, Ullevaal Stadium, Rosenborg Ball Club, Dinamo Story, NRK, Det Frivillige Skyttervesen and others.
