Lifesize and Serenova announce merger
Lifesize and Serenova have confirmed a merger to create a so-called contact centre communications and workplace collaboration company to serve its customer base of more than 10,000 users worldwide.

The merger was financially sponsored by Marlin Equity Partners, a global investment firm with more than $6.7 billion of capital under management, investing and supporting the growth of the newly combined business with a focus on the unified communications as a service (UCaaS) market. The merger follows Marlin Equity Partners recent involvement in the industry, leading Serenova’s acquisition of the ‘ProScheduler’ platform offered by Loxysoft.

The new company will allow customers to consolidate communications, contact centre and video collaboration systems, with Craig Malloy, CEO, Lifesize, serving as CEO of the new company.

Serenova’s CEO, John Lynch, will serve as senior vice president of sales, with strategic oversight of global accounts.

Malloy said: “This merger joins two companies with vast market expertise and cutting-edge, cloud-based solutions. When combined into an integrated platform, we will be uniquely positioned to help organizations deliver communication experiences that far surpass the status quo, from the contact centre to the meeting room and beyond.”
