ISE 2026 launches CyberSecurity summit to confront industry threats
ISE 2026 will host its inaugural CyberSecurity summit, aimed at confronting industry threats with a focus on action, defence and resilience.

A new addition to ISE’s 2026 content programme, the summit will take place on Thursday February 5th 2026, aiming to tackle the escalating cybersecurity challenges that confront today’s industry, in a world where digital threats are increasingly impacting critical infrastructure, smart buildings and public services through DDOS attacks, ransomware and state-sponsored espionage.

AV systems are increasingly becoming network focused and widespread in enterprise, public sector, and venue environments, facing the same vulnerabilities as IT infrastructure.

At the ISE CyberSecurity summit, AV professionals will learn about safeguarding critical systems, navigate evolving regulations such as NIS2 and ISO 27001, and transform cybersecurity from a vulnerability into a strategic advantage.

The summit will be chaired by Pere Ferrer I Sastre, former director general of the Catalan Police, bringing extensive experience in public security, digital transformation, regulatory frameworks and critical infrastructure to the discussion. Sastre will facilitate discussions that address emerging digital threats to AV systems.

The summit will feature keynotes from Shaun Reardon, DNV Cyber, focused on building cyber resilience, as well as Timo Kosig and Andrew Dowsett, Barco Control Rooms, focused on secure operations. Pedro Pablo Pérez, TRC, will focus on protecting corporate communications.

Roundtables will also take place at the summit, featuring Laura Caballero, Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia, Folly Farrel, TÜV SÜD, and Sergi Carmona, Veolia España, exploring compliance, governance, and best practices for securing critical AV environments.

Mike Blackman, managing director, Integrated Systems Events, managing director, Integrated Systems Events, commented: “Cybersecurity is no longer a technical afterthought, it’s a business-critical factor. For AV manufacturers, integrators, and technology users, it’s essential for accessing public tenders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building long-term trust with clients.”
