International sales ranking rates VC distributor
A video communications distributor has been featured in the UK’s Sunday Times HSBC International Track 100. Berkshire headquartered Imago ranked 54th in the list of Britain’s companies with the fastest growing international sales.

The Sunday Times report is put together by Fast Track and judges the companies by the last two years of international sales. This is the first time The Sunday Times has published a list of company’s international sales and the league table joins lists that include the fastest growing tech companies which will be published on September 19, 2010.

Imago Group increased international turnover by 67 per cent between 2007 and 2009 and has six offices across Europe. Furthermore the distributor has opened offices in South Africa and China. The 100 listed companies have grown international sales by an average of 83 per cent a year and export to more than 160 countries.

Although more companies export to Europe than any other continent, more than half the companies on the league table are targeting Asia, in particular China where the economy is growing in double figures.

Ian Vickerage, managing director of Imago, cited the inclusion as a testament to the company’s overseas success. “Because our business is not primarily in export, this makes the listing even more gratifying,” he continued. “It is interesting that despite the fact that video communications is a growth sector, we are the only company representing it in the table.”
