InfoComm drafts Crestron for 4K course
Crestron has joined forces with InfoComm International to promote the use of 4K and assist implementation through a one-day course.

The manufacturer and trade association will offer the ‘4K in a Day’ course at locations around the world in an effort to demonstrate the intricacies of installing 4K video products to designers and engineers.

InfoComm University will instruct on technology and design elements relating to 4K products. This initial section of the class will address challenges in distributing and engineering 4K solutions, including mismatched resolutions, new frame rate considerations, signal integrity issues, new cable length restrictions and source/display compatibility.

Crestron will then focus on Crestron 4K video distribution solutions, conducting product demonstrations and holding tours of its offices and experience centres. CTS holders attending the 4K in a Day program will earn renewal units for their participation.

“With market needs driving 4K dominance, it is important for industry professionals to become proficient in this format to stay competitive,” said David Labuskes, executive director and CEO of InfoComm International.
